Thousands of years ago, the pre-Inca civilization carved huge figures in the Nazca Desert in Peru. The shapes were named the Nazca Lines years after they first appeared.

Thonis-Heracleion was one of the most important port cities in ancient Egypt. It existed as a great port and trading city around 331 BC, before the city of Alexandria was built. Moreover, its existence was unknown until it was discovered by marine archaeologists in 2000!

After the discovery of the city of Thonis-Heracleion, statues, sarcophagi, temple ruins, pottery, jewelry, coins and even fruit baskets dating back 2,400 years ago were unearthed in the city from the depths of the sea. However, the mysteries of this ancient city, which were completely submerged thousands of years ago, are not fully resolved today.

Laos in Southeast Asia is home to some very interesting and mysterious structures. It is amazing to see many “iron jars”, about three meters long and several tons in weight, found in the mountainous region near the city of Phonsavan in Laos.

These structures in the area known as the Plain of Jars are believed to have reached the present day from the Iron Age. However, there is not even the slightest evidence of what civilization, why and how these jars were made. This figure, about 180 meters long, is called the Paracas candlestick because it is located on a cliff on the Paracas Peninsula and resembles a candlestick. 5. Saxaihuaman Castle

Peru is one of the most fertile regions in the world when it comes to mystical structures. Because the Saxaihuaman Castle, a structure as mysterious as the Nazca Lines and Paracas Candlesticks, is located in Peru.

The ruins of the castle, which is one of the important works of the Inca civilization, have managed to reach today a very solid state. However, it is not known how the Inca workers moved the huge boulders, some of which weighed more than 125 tons, how they shaped these boulders using only stone and bronze tools, and how they managed to build a fort without using any mortar.

6. Yonaguni Monument

In the 1980s, a stone structure measuring 150 meters long, 40 meters wide and 27 meters high was discovered off the coast of the Japanese island of Yonaguni. It is not uncommon to encounter large stones under the sea. For this reason, this structure, which was later called the Yonaguni Monument, looks rather strange.

According to some scholars, this structure is part of a monument of an ancient civilization. According to some, the gigantic structure itself was built as a monument in its own right. However, according to some, these two assumptions are not true. The structure is plain stone, nothing more than a very large one. In short, the secrets of the Yonaguni Monument have been waiting to be revealed for a long time.

When it comes to mysterious structures in human history, one of the first things that comes to mind is Stonehenge in England. After long-term research in the area, scientists have agreed that Stonehenge was built thousands of years ago as a “necropolis”.
