A memorial service was held for six young Bosnians from Srebrenica, who were shot dead by the Serbian paramilitary unit called “Scorpions” during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995).

Representatives of associations of war victims and their relatives attended the commemoration ceremony for the 28th anniversary of the massacre in the forest area of Tarnovo, east of the capital, Sarajevo, where 6 young men were killed.

Berezita Petarevich, the sister of the murdered Siddik Salicic, said he was able to identify him from the video of his brother’s murder, but he was unable to show the recordings to his mother. Emphasizing that their pain did not subside despite the passage of the year, Petarievich said that every day was difficult for them.

Erna Clancyvic, niece of Izmir Alispahic, the youngest of the murdered victims, stated that the genocide was denied and they could not accept it, and said: “What more must happen to us for them to accept that genocide took place?” He said.

Wahida Delic, the wife of Josa Delic, who was assassinated by the Serbs, explained that there was not even a memorial in the place where the incident took place and this disturbed them.
