On Saturday, a car was stopped at the “Bazdan” border crossing between Croatia and Serbia, and dangerous radioactive materials were detected in it.
The presence of radioactivity is detected by sensors placed at the border crossing.
According to information in the Serbian media, the sensors warned of high levels of radiation of radioactive substances in the car.
The duty team, which came to the scene of the accident upon notification, confirmed the presence of radioactive elements in the car and the presence of dangerous radiation.
Police and customs teams conducted additional on-site inspections.
