Balkans | A conference on “Poet in Love of the Country and Independence: Mehmet Akif Ersoy” was held in Sarajevo

In Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a conference “Poet in Love for the Fatherland and Independence: Mehmet Akif Ersoy” was held.

The conference was held in cooperation with the Educational Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo, the Yunus Emre Institute and the University of Sarajevo.

To the conference “Poet in Love of the Country and Independence: Mehmet Akif Ersoy” held at the Faculty of Philosophy, Military Attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo Colonel Mustafa Sitki Tatar, Director of YEE in Sarajevo Mehmet Akif Yaman, Lecturer of the Faculty of Philosophy Edina Nurikic, International Sarajevo University Instructor Türkan Artillery participated and students.

In his speech here, Nurikic said: “Our topic today is; ‘Reflections of Mehmet Akif Ersoy on the Balkans’, how he looked at the Balkans in his poems and how he struggled against the injustices that the Balkans suffered at that time.” He said.
