Affected by the earthquakes that hit Kahramanmaraş, which is described as the “catastrophe of the century”, high school students in Malatya will start the new school year in the new school that will be called “North Macedonia” from September 15.

Classes in the school will be named after North Macedonian cities such as Skopje, Tetovo, Ohrid, Manastir, Stip, Kumanova.

The construction of the school was carried out by the Macedonian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (MATTO) with the support of the North Macedonian Ministry of National Education, the Macedonian Red Cross, the Turkish-Macedonian Federation of Civil Society Organizations (MATUSITEB) and the ESNAF Association.

Donations of one million euros were collected for the construction of the school with 24 classrooms on an area of ​​about 9,000 square metres.
