The Ankara Eighth Criminal Court of Peace issued an arrest warrant for Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Danish far-right militant Attitude Party (Stram Kors), who burned the Qur’an in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.
The investigation launched by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ankara against Paludan, who burned the Qur’an on January 21 in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, for “publicly insulting religious values espoused by a section of the public” continues.
Within the scope of the investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office asked the Eighth Criminal Court of Peace in Ankara to “arrest” Paludan.
Assessing the application, the judge issued an arrest warrant for Rasmus Paludan.
