Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis, who coordinated efforts to send humanitarian aid to Turkey and Syria within the framework of the national campaign, made a statement in the port of Patra on Friday morning.

“This aid is only part of the humanitarian aid we have sent,” Katsanioutis said, adding that Greece began mobilizing aid after the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. “We want to deliver aid to Turkey in a coordinated way. This is required,” Katsaniotis said. “This is what we are doing,” he said, adding that more humanitarian aid will be sent from the port of Patra and Athens.
In a statement from the port of Patra, Western Greece Regional Secretary Nektarios Pharmakis said: “As a regional authority, as a local government, it is very important that we help the state initiative.
