The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Psnik Bismilim, who visited Greece and had separate contacts with Foreign Minister Dendias and his deputies, gave an interview to the Kathimerini newspaper.
Pislimi made important statements in the Official Gazette, and sent letters to both Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) stating that it was time for Athens to make a decision to recognize Kosovo, and that the Greek Cypriot administration should avoid parallels with the Kosovo issue.
Referring to the possibility of Greece recognizing Kosovo in an interview with the mass-circulation newspaper Kathimerini, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Psnik Bislemi said: “We want to strengthen our friendship with Athens and we have shown patience by contributing to this relationship. Gradually getting the better of herself, Athens should capitalize on this momentum to take the decisive step and strengthen our joint efforts for stability in the Western Balkans.”
Bislemi stated that it was in the interest of the Greek Cypriot administration to avoid parallels with the Kosovo issue and said, “It is in the interest of Cyprus to avoid such comparisons as much as possible.”
