Passenger trains on the Athens-Thessaloniki railway line resumed service on Monday 3 April, more than a month after the tragic accident at Tempe.
Minister of State for Infrastructure and Transportation Giorgos Gerapetritis, President and CEO of Hellenic Railways OSE Panagiotis Terezakis and executives of Hellenic Train Company traveled to Kalambaka on the first train departing from Larissa station.
With this trip, the Minister and the accompanying delegation sent the message that the Athens-Thessaloniki passenger train services have resumed safely.
The first train service departed from Larissa Station to Kalambaka at 08:28, while the second train departed from Athens to Thessaloniki at 10:28.
