Bulgarian Ambassador in AnkaraSa Angel Cholakov awarded three associations to immigrants from the Balkans at the reception held at the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara on the occasion of the May 24 holiday.
Ambassador Çulakov thanked Neziha Beylin, President of Eskişehir Rumeli Association for Culture and Solidarity in the Balkans, Habiba Aydın, President of Eskişehir Association for Culture and Solidarity of Balkan Migrants, President of the Balkan Migrants Foundation for Economic Research and Social Assistance, Dr. He presented shields to Yuksel Özkal for his contributions to the spread of the Bulgarian language and culture in Türkiye.
Starting from 2022, the associations are organizing Bulgarian language courses with textbooks provided by the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
During the May 24 celebration held at the embassy, a concert of the people of Eskişehir was held and Bulgarian folklore dances were performed. During the celebration, the exhibition “Letters of Bulgaria – the Alphabet of Europe” was presented to the guests.
