Albanian President Bagram Bijaj said he could not allow the establishment of Republika Srpska in Kosovo under any circumstances.
Bijaj, who met his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen, indicated that the idea of establishing a Republika Srpska in Kosovo, as is the case in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was not supported by the United States, at the joint press conference held after the interview.
With Bijaj, Kosovo Serbia He stated that the issue of local governance stipulated in the agreement between the two countries should be resolved in accordance with the Kosovo constitution.
Noting that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is a priority, Van der Bellen said, “These countries understand that they cannot be part of the European Union without an agreement.” He said.
Van der Bellen indicated that he supports Bijaj’s point of view, and stated that he witnessed one of the meetings between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci in Austria and stated that great progress has been made since that day.
