Bosnia and Herzegovina will once again export beef to Turkey within the scope of the Free Trade Agreement (STA) between the two countries.
Stasa Kosarac, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced that the country will start exporting beef to Turkey again from Monday.
He explained that it is planned to export 1,000 tons of beef from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey by the end of this year. The first shipment will be delivered on Monday.” He said.
Pointing out that companies operating in Republika Srpska (RS) and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) can export meat to the Turkish market within the scope of the free trade agreement between the two countries, Kosarac said, “This is due to Turkey’s goodwill towards our export-oriented companies and what we have with this Country. It is an indication of stable trade relations.” He said.
Pointing out that companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina have standards to export their products to the Turkish market, Kosarak said that although the beef export agreement was signed with a company operating in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 50 percent of the exports must be done from companies in Republika Srpska.
