1400 people had breakfast in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquakes, by the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Religion of the Republic of Bulgaria.
In cooperation with the Bulgarian mufti and the Turkish religious establishment, 1,400 people held an iftar in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquakes.
Mufti of Bulgaria d. Mustafa Hajj sent a message conveying the greetings of citizens and the Muslim community in Bulgaria to the earthquake victims.
Al-Hajj said in his letter:
“Dear brothers from Kahramanmaraş, in our capacity as the Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria, we send our warmest greetings and heartfelt conversations to you as the Muslim community and your countrymen living in Bulgaria.
As our brothers who live in Bulgaria, we felt the pain experienced in the earthquake zones in our hearts. You were always in our prayers. On March 15, 2023, we had the opportunity to visit you with a delegation consisting of the Bulgarian Grand Mufti and Provincial Muftis. This time, we believe that it is a brotherly duty to be with our brothers from Kahramanmaraş, although we cannot be physically with you with this evening’s Iftar program to experience the blessings and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan together.
We congratulate you on Laylat al-Qadr and Eid al-Fitr in advance, and we wish God’s great mercy for our brothers and sisters who perished in the earthquake. We wish you good health and fun. We would like to express our gratitude to the respected directors and the team of the Turkish Diyanet Foundation who contributed to the organization of the program and to you, your esteemed treasurer. Once again, we send our heartfelt greetings from Bulgaria. Trust God and always be under His care.
The Bulgarian Mufti’s Office gave 1.5 million euros in cash aid to a national campaign that was launched on February 6, 2023, when the earthquake occurred.
