Representatives of the Chinese and Albanian governments signed an agreement on mutual waiver of visas for both officials and citizens in the Albanian capital, Tirana, on Monday.
The agreement was signed by Zhou Ding, Chinese Ambassador to Albania, and Megi Fino, Albanian Vice Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
This agreement means that citizens of both China and Albania can enter each other’s countries without a visa, regardless of the type of passport they hold.
In 2018 and 2019, Albania implemented a visa-free policy for Chinese nationals who came to the country for short visits during the peak tourism season. The following year, Albania granted short-term visa-free visits to Chinese nationals.
