Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that Kosovo institutions are in constant contact, coordination and liaison with KFOR regarding the security situation in the north.
Kurti noted that UNMIK had been asked to allocate time on the barricades, and stated that he would allow the barricades to remain for a while.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his belief that those who aim to destabilize Kosovo will fail, and referred to Serbia’s request to send troops to KFOR, saying that it proves their inability.
KFOR has asked us for some time to remove the barricades in the north. Barricades will not be tolerated for long. Do not forget what the illegal Serbian organizations, which have turned into criminal gangs, are doing lately,” Kurti said, adding that the demand from Serbia is unrealistic and they know it well. Noting that there is no need for Serb soldiers, Kurti said that “NATO is blasphemy The Kurti will oppose Serbia’s request to send troops to Kosovo.”
