In Albania, the Tirana Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) held a lecture on “Culture, Language and History on the Centenary of Diplomatic Relations between Turkey and Albania”.
In the interview that took place in Tirana, the capital, and in cooperation with the Education Counselor of the Turkish Embassy of Tirana, Head of the Atatürk Higher Institute for Culture, Language and History, Prof. Dr. Doctor. Yuksel Ozgen made a speech.
Özgen said that the Atatürk Higher Foundation for Culture, Language and History and the Presidency of the Atatürk Research Center celebrated the centenary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey with very intensive activities.
Stating that they will continue the activities throughout the year both in Turkey and in all countries with which Turkey has diplomatic relations, Özgen said:
Today, we organize the first annual events abroad in Tirana. This also shows the importance we attach to the relations between Turkey and Albania. As President of the Atatürk Supreme Foundation and the Atatürk Research Center, we organize social and cultural activities to realize the vision of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, To bring Turkey to the level of the civilized countries in the world, bring it to the place it deserves.
In this context, Ozgen explained that they attach importance to the relations between Albania and Turkey and that these relations are related to culture, history and geography on behalf of their institutions, and continued his words as follows:
We believe that the close relationship between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has contributed positively to these relations. Therefore, we care about the hundred years of historical accumulation of Turkey and the centenary of its relations with modern Albania. We hope that relations between Albania and Turkey will be better in the next century than in this century.
Rector of the University of Tirana Ömer Osman Demirbaş emphasized the importance of organizing such an event and said: “Today, we experience many beauties and blessings here. Firstly, this year marks the centenary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Albania. Today marks the centenary of the founding of our Turkish Republic and also the first event of 2023. I also feel privileged to share so much beauty with you.” Use his statements.
