The North Macedonian Customs Administration announced the seizure of 90,000 euros from a passenger at Skopje Airport.
Customs officers of the Airport Customs Department seized 90 thousand euros, and prevented an attempt to export illegal foreign currency after checking the HA traveler on the Skopje-Zurich route.
The foreign passenger checked in at Skopje International Airport with one gray suitcase, then left the Republic of North Macedonia and did not submit any notice to customs control.
He stated that undeclared 100,000 euros were found in the front and back pockets of the passenger, under the supervision of the customs officer, and an offense was committed within the scope of Paragraph 2 of Article 56-c of foreign exchange transactions. Law.
According to the law, 10 thousand euros were returned to him, and 90 thousand euros were temporarily detained without documents.
A criminal complaint was filed against the person before the court concerned with foreign exchange crime.
