Turkish tourist cities have been promoted in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The promotion program, which was attended by the Culture and Tourism Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo, Ahmet Atabash, was held in a hotel in Sarajevo by the tourism company Centrotours.
In his statement here, Atabas noted that Centrotours is among the largest tourism companies in the country, and said, “It is a very important partner for us. 2022 was a record year for us in Bosnia and Herzegovina. More than 200 thousand visitors (from Bosnia and Herzegovina) went to Turkey. Our tour operators are making a lot of effort in this matter, ”he said.
He stressed that this number is not enough for them, and Atabash indicated that they expect a fifty percent increase in the number of tourists this year.
Atabash said, “This cooperation is extremely important for us, and we support this program as much as we can as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Tourism Promotion and Development Agency of Turkey.” He said.
He stated that they will continue their promotional activities, and Atabash thanked all travel agencies for their cooperation.
Muammer Lutvić, Director of Centrotours, stated that Turkey is an important tourist country for them, and that they organize one flight to Antalya every day and twice a week to Bodrum with Turkish Airlines (THY) during the tourism season.
Lutvić noted that they expect Bosnia and Herzegovina to prefer Turkey for their holidays this year as well.
Pointing out that Turkey is among the best tourism services in the world, Lutvik said, “Our customers are aware of this, and we have been spending our summer vacations there for many years.” He said.
Lutvić also noted that Turks are among the tourists who visit Bosnia and Herzegovina the most.
In the program attended by some hotel operators in Turkey, a round-trip ticket to Turkey for two people was presented as a gift with a lottery from THY.
Within the scope of the programme, a Certificate of Appreciation has been awarded to successful tourism companies.
