According to the news of Slobodn Bekat, a tunnel was discovered in “Idrizova” prison, which exits from the prison through the cornice of the closed part of the prison, which is designated for the escape of severely sentenced prisoners. This information was confirmed by Tovica Stojanović, Head of the Sanctions Enforcement Department.
According to unofficial information, the tunnel was about 60 meters long and contained support beams. He stated that the tunnel was dug for four to five months and the lighting was done using an extension cord.
After the incident, the official who was acting as the prison director was fired.
