Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, who visited Hatay after the earthquakes that hit Kahramanmaraş, which were described as the “catastrophe of the century,” assessed the earthquakes as “completely destructive.”

Dendias spoke with an APS reporter in earthquake-damaged Hatay.

Commenting on the earthquakes that struck the region, describing them as “completely destructive,” Dendias said, “Turkey and Greece should not wait for another earthquake to restore relations.” He said.

Greek Minister Dendias went to Adana, which was damaged by the earthquake. On the other hand, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu assessed the Greek Foreign Minister’s visit, which aims to show solidarity with Turkey despite the tension between the two countries, as “important”.

In his speech, Cavusoglu said, “There may be problems between countries. We have some outstanding issues with Greece for some time. Sometimes we see tensions, but we have always been two countries that come together in difficult times.” Use his statements.

Earthquakes hit nine other provinces, including Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa, as well as Kahramanmaraş.

Many countries in the region, including Syria and Lebanon, also felt the earthquakes, which were effective in Turkey.

It is noteworthy that more than 3,000 people died in the earthquake that struck the governorates of Idlib, Latakia, Aleppo, Hama and Raqqa in northern Syria.
