At the Australian Open, the first major tennis tournament of the season, men’s singles seed third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the semifinals.
Greek striker Tsitsipas and Czech Republic’s world number 71 Jiri Lehika faced off in the men’s singles quarter-final match on day nine of the tournament in Melbourne.
Tsitsipas, who defeated his opponent 3-0 with scores of 6-3, 7-6, 6-4 in the battle that lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes, was among the last 4 tennis players.
Tsitsipas, who reached his fourth semi-final at the Australian Open, faced 18th seed Russia’s Karen Khachanov.

On the tenth day of the tournament, the quarter-finals will finish tomorrow.
And in the highlights of the day, Serbian Novak Djokovic, 9-time Australian Open champion (4) and Russian Andrei Rublev (5), will play on the court. And in the other match, American tennis players Ben Shelton and Tommy Ball will share their trump cards.
In the women’s singles, Czech Karolina Pliskova (30) will compete with Poland’s Magda Linette, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (5) and Croatian Donna Vekic.
