About 1,700 health workers, whose employment contracts were suspended on the grounds that they did not have access to a Kovid-19 vaccine in Greece, have started to return to their duties as of today.
According to the news in the Greek press, 1,700 health workers, including doctors, nurses and administrative staff, who refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19, have returned to their duties.
The State Council found the suspension of employment contracts of unvaccinated health workers unconstitutional and decided to pay unpaid salaries.
In Greece, the government has suspended employment of healthcare workers who have not received at least one dose of the vaccine until September 1, 2021.
In response to the government’s decision, health workers have taken many measures in the country.
It is envisaged that healthcare personnel who have not been vaccinated will test for Covid-19 twice a week and use a high protection KN95 mask during the work process.
