We are ready to make any sacrifices for Turkish and Muslim students to study. We give scholarships to 90 percent of our students who study at our university. We offer full scholarships to all students who meet the minimum requirements, regardless of their status, country or religion, especially from the Balkans. After we took office, the topic we worked on and spent the most time on was identifying students who were interested in reading but were unable to read due to financial hardship and offering them scholarship opportunities. As a result of studies conducted for five years, the number of our scholarship students has increased tenfold.

According to our current data, 70 percent of our students enrolled in our university have direct scholarships. If we include students from outside the Balkans and students for whom we provide other support, our scholarship rate is close to 90 percent at our university. In the ranking based on student ratio, we are among the universities that offer the highest number of scholarships among foundation universities in the world, and we are even believed to be among the top 10 universities. In this regard, our status as a constituent university is not only in form or name, but also in occupancy. In other words, we can easily say that we are the most comprehensive university operating under this title.

– “We also provide scholarship opportunities for our students with special circumstances such as children of martyrs, war veterans or people with disabilities”

Erdem mentioned that in addition to their contributions to students who are not in good condition, they also give scholarships to students who come from the Balkans to enroll in IBU and meet the minimum requirements.

Emphasizing that they also provide various opportunities for students from abroad and Turkey, Erdem provided the following information:

Besides, we also provide scholarship opportunities to our students who have special circumstances such as children of martyrs, veterans or people with disabilities. In the end, we can say that 70 percent of our students who study at our university study for almost zero wages. They read the rest in very representative numbers. Our students understand the value of this attitude very well when they graduate and start life. In fact, IBU treats events as a complete organization with all these features.

We do not have a profit motive, we do not pursue such a purpose. We do not have any members, owners or affiliates that receive profits. All our resources are used to educate and train Balkan students in good conditions. In other words, we can easily say that anyone who wants to see an example of basic understanding of the Ottoman period in Skopje can come to our university. Because this is our primary mission.
