Balkans | Izet Mesiti announced that he would establish his party on 13 August.

BDI Vice President and Vice President Izet Mesiti, who resigned from his party after intra-party disagreements in the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), the Albanian party that has been in power for many years in North Macedonia, announced that he would establish a new party.

A new political movement will be created on August 13, along with 3 BDI MPs and several other people who have resigned from their party positions, Izzet Misiti, who was also the Mayor of Jair for many years, said in a statement on the matter.

Noting that they have concluded that all opportunities for internal development in BDI have been exhausted, Misiti pointed out, “We are talking about all the intellectuals who were in other political parties before or who did not participate in these parties but are dissatisfied, who want to contribute to a better level, who want to serve Citizens, who just want to get votes and forget about them. But if they serve the purpose, they will have an open door in the new political movement.” Make an evaluation.

He stated that the official establishment of the political formation will be on August 13, when the Ohrid Framework Agreement will be signed.

Stating that the new political formation will function as a party in principle, but the naming will look like a political move, Misiti said there will be a discussion about the name and the best proposals will be evaluated not only for the name but also for the programme, statute and other objectives.
