Bulgarian Red Cross (BÇK) Chairman of the Regional Coordination Council in Karjali Prof. Dr. doctor. Todor Sirkizov said in a statement to the press, “There is an excessive focus on the phone lines of the Pak Kardjali District Coordinating Council office. Citizens and companies are in constant contact with a desire to help the earthquake victims in Turkey. The CCC administration is in constant contact with the municipalities where funds are placed to collect aid. It will remain.” Donations will be collected for two weeks. The collected aid will be delivered to the earthquake victims and the injured.”

Details of the emergency material aid campaign are expected to be clarified. Currently, Karcali residents can donate by sending an SMS to 1466. BÇK has also opened a bank account for donations.

At the same time, Kardzhali Dr. Director of Atanas Davovsky Hospital, Prof. Dr. doctor. Todor Sirkizov and Svetlomira Dimitrova, Secretary of the Pak Kardjali District Coordinating Council, expressed their condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the earthquake. They emphasized that the CCC’s mission is to help people in need around the world.

BÇK Kardzhali District Coordinating Council relies on the organizational qualifications of a large number of volunteers to run a successful donation campaign. Volunteers are also being sought for logistics activities in Turkey. So far, 28 well-trained search and rescue professionals have gone there. Among them are 12 mountain rescuers and 5 dogs.

At the moment, there has been no request for help from the residents of the area for their relatives who were injured in the earthquake.
