Kosovo President Fyoza Osmani represented Kosovo at the second Democratic Summit organized online by the White House today at the invitation of US President Joe Biden.
In his speech at the virtual summit, Osmani stated that Kosovo’s resolve is not just a promise of the summit, but rather on the front line against authoritarian regimes. Osmani said that “the commitment to democracy is not just a commitment on the part of the summit, but to be at the forefront of the front against the tyrannical rulers,” and noted that our commitment to Kosovo has always been and will remain unwavering.
Emphasizing that the commitment to work with partners around the world to protect and nurture democracy is also inseparable, Osmani emphasized that the path to freedom and independence for Kosovo is the desire for a strong democracy.
