North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Dimitar Kovačevski said that Corridor 8 is the new economic and development engine of the country.
Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovacevski attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Corridor 8 project, which is the beginning of the construction of a modern highway between Tetovo – Gostivar, Gostivar-Bukoyçani and Trebenişte-Struga-Kafasan in Tetovo today.
In his speech here, Prime Minister Kovaczewski said: “Today’s step is the beginning of a serious strategic and statesman’s achievement, in which the present and future generations of our country, as well as our two neighboring countries, are linked to each other in the East. Kovachevsky emphasized that with its strategic geolocation and Corridor 8, it has become an unavoidable transportation route both in the region and beyond.
Noting that the construction of Corridor 8 means a lower cost of transportation in North Macedonia, faster transportation, connectivity and integration, as well as economic and regional development of the country, Kovacevsky noted, “Today, the construction of the western part is a strong construction of Corridor 8.
