Miroslav Lajcak, the European Union’s Special Representative for the Serbia-Kosovo Dialogue, said he expects the Belgrade and Pristina administration to accept and sign the Franco-German plan.
Lajcak stated that within the scope of their contacts in Pristina, they discussed the plan, also known as the EU solution proposal, with the parties separately.

Noting that the international community wants to raise the quality of relations between Kosovo and Serbia to a higher level, Lajcak said, “Our goal is to normalize relations between Pristina and Belgrade.” He said.
In his assessment of the possibility of one party accepting the proposal and the other party rejecting it, Lajac said: “The international community will reduce its support for this party and increase its support for the party that accepted it. The task of the international community is really difficult.” He said.
During his visit to Pristina, Lajcak also met with the government representative, Besnik Biseljimi, who is in dialogue with Belgrade.
