North Macedonian Turkish poet Leila Sharif Amin recited poetry at a ceremony organized on the occasion of “International Poetry Day” in cooperation with the Struga Poetry Evenings, the Macedonian PEN Center, the Macedonian Writers’ Union and the National Library.
The Struga Poetry Evenings, the Macedonian PEN Center, the Union of Macedonian Writers and the National Library organized a poetry program on the occasion of the “World Poetry Day” and the 100th anniversary of the Macedonian poet Aku Chopov.
Within the scope of the programme, the winner of the “Golden Wreath” Prize and the “Struga Bridges Prize” of the 2023 Struga Poetry Evenings has been officially announced.
Following the announcement of the award winners, members of the Macedonian Writers Union and the Macedonian PEN Center recited poems on the occasion of World Poetry Day.
On the occasion of the centenary of Aco Shopov’s birth, which will be celebrated throughout 2023, his poems are read in various programs.
