The PACE delegation in Kosovo attends the meeting of the Committee on Political and Democratic Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, held in Seville, Spain.
Enis Kervan, a member of the delegation and a member of the Kosovo Democratic Party of Turkey (KDTP), made the following statements about the engagement on his social media account:
“The aim of the Council of Europe is to protect human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Kosovo was the country that made the most progress by fulfilling these basic conditions. For this reason, the multi-ethnic Republic of Kosovo is a country that deserves to be a member of the Council of Europe and the process must proceed quickly after the step taken by the Committee of Ministers regarding the membership decision.
As a full member of the Council of Europe as soon as possible, I believe we will be able to contribute to the realization of the main goals of this institution and share our common values.”
