Bakri told Anadolu Agency (AA) that Palestine has taken measures to help Turkey and Syria since the first day of the earthquake that struck the city of Kahramanmaraş.

Recalling that the Palestinian Ministry of Institutions and Religious Affairs launched a campaign to help the earthquake victims under the instructions of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, Bakri indicated that nearly two million dollars were collected in the mosques and bank accounts of the ministry with donations. made by citizens.

Bakri indicated that the Palestinian delegation visited the earthquake areas in Turkey and delivered their aid through relief organizations in Turkey such as AFAD and the Turkish Red Crescent, and said that financial support of $200,000 was provided to Turkey, and 20,000 sleeping bags were prepared in coordination. With the Turkish institutions, and in the following days, the earthquake victims were handed over, and he said he would be sent.

Bakri said the Palestinian embassy in Ankara also played an important role in helping the Turkish people and the 500 Palestinian families affected by the earthquake.

“Turkey will get out of this crisis as soon as possible”

Stressing his confidence in President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s promises to his people, the Palestinian minister said, “Turkey will get out of this crisis as soon as possible. I believe that after a year, the Turkish government will have fulfilled its promise. They have all kinds of possibilities, and most importantly, this will.” . He said.

Bakri explained that the Palestinian people suffered a lot because of the Israeli occupation, and therefore they understand the suffering of others well, and said, “Despite the circumstances we are in, we stand by our brothers in all crises and earthquakes. Turkey has a special place in the hearts of the Palestinians.” He rated it.

Bakri stressed that “Palestine and Turkey hand in hand to face the effects of the earthquake,” noting that the aid sent to earthquake victims from Arab and Islamic countries “gives a message of brotherhood and love.”

Bakri said he visited the region after the earthquake, and said, “What we saw was great devastation. The people of the region lost everything. There were those who lost their entire families. This is an unspeakable tragedy.” Use phrases.
