Balkans | PhD in Turkish Language and Literature awarded at Balkan International University

President of the International Balkan University (IBU) Prof. doctor. Fahri Karaman received his doctoral title with defense of his second doctoral thesis, under the supervision of Mehmet Dorsun Erdem.

According to the IBU statement, she continues to make a name for herself in Turkey and the Balkans with her higher education studies within the International Balkan University.

IBU, which ranks among the best universities in North Macedonia and the Balkans in terms of diversity of graduate programs and students, continues to clinch this title with students graduating every year. Currently, IBU holds the title of best university for education in North Macedonia according to Shanghai standards for many years.

President of the International Balkan University Prof. Dr. doctor. Fahri Karaman received his doctoral title with defense of his second doctoral thesis, under the supervision of Mehmet Dorsun Erdem. In this sense, the Balkan International University is the only university that has a PhD program in the field of Turkish language and literature and Turkish education among the universities of Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Erdem said, “If we had not shown the necessary effort and sensitivity to start this program at our university and had not succeeded in opening it, there would not have been a doctoral program in the field of Turkish language and literature – Turkish education in these four countries. As a university, we are proud to be the only university in the Balkan geography with a Turkish Language and Literature – Doctoral Program in Turkish Education. The contributions made to the world of science through the studies made here cannot be denied. As a university, we attach as much importance to postgraduate education as to undergraduate education. This is evidenced by our publications, our faculty, and the number and quantity of postgraduate students who favor us at this point. Although we do not find our current situation sufficient, we continue to increase the necessary studies every year.

Fahri, whom we will now call the “Doctor”, is also of great importance at this point. I would also like to thank Mr. Fahri for his outstanding efforts. He was a worthy student of mine.
