Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has stated that the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for Russian President Vladimir Putin is only the beginning.
Recalling that the decision in question was to be expected, Plenkovic told reporters, “Given the horrific events and war crimes committed in Ukraine over a year ago, I think this is only the beginning.” He said.
Pointing out that the ICC Prosecutor’s Office had prepared the decision very meticulously, Plenkovic said that this did not surprise him.
Recalling that the decision concerned the abduction of Ukrainian children to Russia during the Russo-Ukrainian War, Plenkovic said, “I think it is only a matter of time to collect enough evidence about other crimes committed.” He said.
