Pristina Municipality has created a new directorate focused on security.
Pristina Mayor Perbarim Rama explained that the aim of this directorate is the safety of citizens and the fastest response in emergency situations.
Speaking at his press conference about the importance of establishing this directorate, Rama reminded that local government is essential for organizing social and political life.
Stressing that access to security contributes to the relationship between the state and society, Rama said, “The safety of citizens, the safety of traffic, public places, stray dogs, and students in schools are among the many problems that affect security.” “Our society is sensitive in this area, and we all face different threats,” he said.
Lulzim Fushtica, who was appointed head of the Directorate of Security and Emergency Situations, announced the start of work analyzing the risks threatening the capital.
