Culture workers in North Macedonia have been demonstrating in front of the Ministry of Culture and the government building for several days, demanding an increase in their salaries.
Employees of the Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Cinema Agency protested to the government to demand higher salaries.
The head of the Union of Cultural Workers, Branko Kostowski, said that all employees are united in this demand.
The General Secretary of Trade Unions of the Ministry of Culture, Bojan Trebunowski, asked Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi to accept the collective agreement to increase wages by 30% according to the principle of the Ministry of Finance.
The employees of the cultural institutions stated that they would continue the protests until they achieved their goals.
