Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that it is unreasonable for the EU to accept the Balkan countries as a member and bypass Serbia.
Speaking to the Italian media, Rama stated that he did not believe that the European Union would expand without Serbia, and said that Albania should keep Serbia close to it and be in a political union.
Asked if Serbia’s admission to EU membership at a time when it was close to Russia scares Albania, Rama said: “It is unreasonable for the EU to accept Albania and other Balkan countries for membership and bypass Serbia. Albania is the voice of the Western Balkans that Calls not to push back Serbia. He said.
Rama argued that Serbia did not impose sanctions on Russia for political, historical and practical reasons, emphasizing that the war in Ukraine should not be allowed to affect the Balkans.
