Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic announced that his country will conduct joint military exercises with the United States and ten partner countries in mid-June.
Talk to Vucevic B92 TV, USA and NATO The council member said that the exercise, which was called “Platinum Wolf”, which will be held with the participation of the Western allies, does not carry any hidden message and that Serbia maintains its military neutrality.
After the war in Ukraine, Serbia decided to suspend its military maneuvers with all its allies from the West and the East, according to a national security decision.
The first indication that this trend has changed was the visit to Washington by the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Milan Mošelović, in early February.
US State Department Adviser Derek Chollet announced that Serbia will participate in the “Platinum Wolf” military exercises on March 23, and congratulated the country for its re-participation in joint military exercises with the United States.
Vucevic stressed that the decision to participate in the military exercises does not mean that they support any side in Ukraine, and said, “This is the largest international military exercise on Serbian soil, and we have never been afraid of it.”
