Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that no one will be allowed to enter the European Union before his country.
After joining a local TV channel, Vucic made remarks about his country’s EU membership process.
Vucic stated that he is not worried about the possibility that his country will wait a long time in the process of joining the European Union, and that the situation that worries him is the possibility that someone will say, “There will be no investment in the country.”
Noting that 4.41 billion euros of foreign direct investment was pumped into his country last year, Vucic said: “They will not allow anyone to enter the European Union before us. It is investments that worry me. I saw how they left Russia, where they had more interests than here.” He said.
Good relations with the United States are important to us.
Vucic stressed that the United States is not with Serbia in the current situation, and said: “They are looking at how to act rationally and seriously and not lose their strength and energies to others because they have concentrated all their forces against Russia.” He said.
Vucic stated that talks about imposing sanctions on Russia were “revolting” rhetoric for them and added, “When you’re running a country, you can’t know ‘which sword will be over your head’ and you can’t prepare anything in advance.” Make an evaluation.
Vucic pointed out that the situation in the region is very dangerous and increasingly complex, and he also stressed that the pressure and attacks against his country will increase in the coming period.
Meanwhile, Vucic received Stuart Beach, the British Special Representative for the Western Balkans. Vucic said after the meeting that he informed Pec on the Kosovo issue and said that Pristina’s unilateral actions endangered the Serbs in Kosovo.
Vucic said that his country will continue to work for regional peace and stability, and indicated that it expects support from England to establish the Federation of Serbian Municipalities as soon as possible.
