24 Italian and 10 Lithuanian gendarmerie personnel from the Special Reserve Police Unit of the European Union Mission on the Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) have been awarded the Service Medal.
Medals are awarded for services to joint security and defense policy.
EULEX Chief of Delegation Lars Gunnar Wijmark, Kosovo’s Interior Minister Çelal Svechla, heads of EU diplomatic missions and other guests attended the award ceremony at the EU Delegation in Pristina.
In his inaugural address, the EULEX WEGMARK President thanked Italy and Lithuania for sending some of their best police officers to Kosovo for this important mission.
