On Sunday, July 9, 2023, the third race of the “Bosnian Genocide Remembrance Race in Srebrenica”, which has been held for two years in cooperation with the Bosnian-Turkish Sanjak Association and the Bakirkoy Municipality, will be held.

NGO support for the organization, which has the Sancak Academic Foundation for Culture and History and the Rumelia Education Foundation as project partners this year, continues to increase. This event, which is supported by sensitive sports federations, associations, institutions, platforms and clubs in our society, especially the Rumeli Balkan community, grows every year and brings large audiences together.

Remembered as one of the most painful consequences of the massacre, genocide and crimes against humanity in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992-1995, the “Srebrenica Bosnian Genocide”, which was remembered as one of the most painful consequences of the massacre of 8,372 defenseless and defenseless Bosnians and Bosnians by ferocious spirit. The events commemorating the genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica were and still are an awareness tool for not forgetting the crimes against humanity in the world. From the Caucasian exile of 1864 to the Rwandan atrocities of 1993, we have to remember and remember the shameful traces of world history. And so that it does not happen again, we do not repeat history and do not leave a dirty legacy for future generations …

The third Bosnian Genocide Commemoration, which will be held on the morning of Sunday, July 9, 2023, will be held on the 8,372-meter-high “Path of Respect” created to commemorate the 8,372 victims of the genocide, starting from Yeşilköy Fisherman’s Square at 09:00. , as in previous years. After the participants have covered this distance along the coast, the race will end at the point from which it started. In our losing event, all participants will be rewarded with medals, while sports kits consisting of caps, T-shirts and bags will be distributed before the race.

In order for the race to be broadcast live by media organizations in our country and abroad, a “co-broadcast” service will also be provided within our organization.
