The New Democracy party of Maria Spiraki, one of the two Greek MPs whose immunity was lifted by the EU Prosecutor’s Office, has reportedly been suspended on suspicion of corruption related to the European Parliament.
And according to the statement made by the ruling “New Democracy” party in Greece, that by a decision of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the party’s head, the membership of Parliamentarian Maria Spiraki was suspended in the party until the completion of the investigation.
The statement stressed in the statement that as long as the investigation continues, Speraki will not be a parliamentary candidate for Thessaloniki in the next general elections.
