Brought in to head the Albanian national football team, Brazilian coach Silvio Mendes Campos Junior “Sylvinho” has signed the official signing of his duty that will continue until the 2024 European Championship (Euro 2024).
The signing ceremony for the Brazilian coach took place at the Football House, the headquarters of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) in the capital, Tirana.
In his speech here, FSHF President Armand Duca stated that they had reached an agreement with Sylvinho until the end of EURO 2024 and said: “This shows that our aim to participate in EURO 2024 is clear.” He said.
Emphasizing that he came to Albania to do his best, Sylvinho said: “We have a great desire to get positive results, to take this national team to the place it deserves, to important places. This is what we are here for.” He said.
On the other hand, Argentine Pablo Javier Zabaleta Giroud and Brazilian Dorival Guidoni Jr. were brought in as Sylvinho’s assistants.
In his career Sylvinho, who played for teams such as Corinthians, Arsenal, Celta Vigo, Barcelona and Manchester City, also worked as an assistant coach and coach.
Sylvinho will take over this role, replacing Italian footballer Eduardo Riga, who took over the team in 2019.
