The Sarajevo Halal Fair, which was held for the third time this year, opened its doors to visitors in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, the President of the Islamic Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein Kavazović, emphasized that the exhibition is economically and religiously important.
Kavazovic said: Halal guarantees a happy life in the afterlife. While halal is a trust given to humans and a religious duty, it is a legal right.” He said.
Noting that the halal industry is one of the fastest growing industries today, Kavazovic noted that halal products are required by non-Muslims as well as Muslims.

Also noting that very important international events have been organized in Sarajevo, Minister of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, Zlatko Mijatović, said: “This fair has participants from our country and from all over the world. Damir Alijudzic, Director of the Halal Quality Certification Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that the concept of halal, according to Islamic conditions and with high quality, attracted attention in many parts of the world, and said that the exhibition played a major role in raising awareness about the halal industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Forum Director Dino Selimović stated that participation in the forum showed interest in the halal sector.
The exhibition brings together international representatives from all areas of the supply chain in the halal sector, and ends tomorrow with the awarding of the Sarajevo Halal Fair award to the most successful participants.
66 companies from all over the world, especially from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region, are participating in the exhibition.
