The Bulgarian authorities have accepted the request to extradite Mustafa Levent Goktas, one of the perpetrators of the assassination of Necib Hapelmetoglou, to Turkey.
According to the information received, Academic Assoc. Dr. Göktaş, who was one of the perpetrators of the murder of Necip Hapılımitöğlu as a result of an armed assassination on December 18, 2002 and has a red notice for him, was charged with “intentional killing” and “belonging to an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime” within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ankara on September 5, 2022. His extradition has been requested from Bulgaria.
The request to extradite Göktaş to Turkey was granted by the decision of the Plovdiv Court of Appeal today. The decision was made to be final.
