In earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş, the death toll in various regions of Syria rose to 1602 and the number of injured to 3 thousand 649.

Search and rescue efforts continue in Syria, in the earthquake-affected governorates of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama, Latakia and Tartous.

According to the news of the Assad regime’s news agency, SANA, 812 people lost their lives and 1,449 were injured in regime-controlled areas in the governorates of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, and Tartous.

Many buildings have been destroyed or damaged in opposition-held areas in northern Syria.

According to information collected by APS correspondents in the field from the Syrian Network for Human Rights and Civil Defense (the White Helmets), local authorities, health institutions and local sources, at least 790 people have died in Idlib, Euphrates Shield and Syria.
