The Santa Claus Donkey Race was held for the second time this year in Kapljina, southern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants dressed as Santa Claus in the traditional donkey race organized by the Vranac Horse Club as part of the New Year’s events, creating colorful images.
Josip Simović, who won the race, stated that he was the champion last year and said: “We have been preparing all year. It is very difficult to control the donkey.” He said.
Ivan Dragicevic, an official of the Vranac Horse Club, stated that their goal is to spend time together and stated that 8 people competed this year.
Dragicevic said that the most beautiful donkey was also chosen, and indicated that they will provide the assistance they receive from the institutions that support the event to children in need.
