Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Peter Sjärto said they support Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, one of the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his decisions.
Szijjarto attended the handover ceremony of machinery and equipment donated to farmers in Republika Srpska as part of a project funded by the Hungarian government in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking at the ceremony where 1,200 machines produced in Hungary were handed over to the farmers, Szijjarto said that they are always ready when it comes to helping the countries of the Western Balkans and that support within the scope of the project will continue.
Szijjarto said that they are ready to support the President of the Republic of Serbia, Milorad Dodik, and his decisions regarding the annulment of the decisions taken by the High Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.
Szijjarto expressed his support for Dodik, saying, “The people wanted him to be president. I think it’s very simple. You can’t go against what the people want. In RS, everyone has to respect the decisions made by the head of the entity, Dodik. I don’t understand why a man would go out and decide.” against him.” He rated it.
Noting that they will continue with the second part of the project in August, Dodik said that there is an important project that will increase farmers’ income.
Dodik believed that Schmidt is not a legal representative, “We will not implement his decisions.” He said.
High Representative Schmidt, using his powers in Bonn, announced last week that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina taken in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska are not considered valid in the territory of the entity and that the decisions of the High Representative have not been published. In the Official Gazette of the entity and will not enter into force.
Dodik, who came to the agenda with his separatist rhetoric, said that Schmidt’s decisions would not be implemented and that they would strengthen the entity’s institutions.
