The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konakovich, met with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
Konakovich was received by UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Sarajevo.
After the meeting, Konakovich made a statement to the FBiH news agency.
Konakovich said that the two countries have good relations with the UAE, and said that the potential for cooperation between the two countries has not been sufficiently exploited.
Konakovich explained that there are direct flights from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and mentioned that many tourists from the Emirates visit their countries every year and that the areas of cooperation are very wide.
Noting that they discussed investments in renewable energy sources, food production and healthcare systems with his Emirati counterpart Al Nahyan, Konakovich stated, “We discussed the abolition of visas for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina traveling to the UAE. It was also said that a ministerial-level delegation from the UAE will attend the Sarajevo Forum for business. We consider it an opportunity to talk about opportunities and possibilities in investment fields. He rated it.
Al Nahyan also received the Croatian member of the Presidency Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, and the Bosnian member of the Council, Denis Peciforic.
