Anita Angelovska Byzoska, President of the Central Bank of North Macedonia, said that the new payment services law strengthens the protection of users of banking services.
In a statement about the new Payment Services Law, Central Bank Governor Anita Angelovska Byzoska said: “While it is mandatory to inform the consumer of the terms of use of payment services and fees for the most frequently used services in a payment account, the new legal framework strengthens the protection of payment service users.” Use phrases.
Bezoska indicated that the Central Bank is constantly working to improve the protection of users of banking services, even by establishing a special regulatory unit for this purpose, which will start this year with regular special checks in this area.
Stating that the new Payment Services and Payment Systems Act opens the market for new payment service providers and expands the services to be offered, Byzoska continued his words as follows:
The Central Bank has published a list of 11 representative services related to payment accounts from which it will regularly collect data on fees from each payment service provider and publish it on its website in a comparative context. The fee will be published for the first time on the central bank’s website at the end of September this year. In this way, citizens will have information about wages that can be accessed quickly and easily.”
