In the indictment brought by the Special Prosecutor of the Kosovo Special Tribunal for International War Crimes in The Hague against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Vecili, Jakub Krasniqi and Rexeb Selimi, 40 places are named where crimes allegedly committed in Kosovo are mentioned.
The indictment read by the special prosecutor listed 102 people dead, 20 missing, and more than 400 people illegally arrested.
Noting that the Drenica region was established by the KLA in the spring of 1998, and the first commander of the region was Silman Selimi, followed by Azim Sela, Sami Lushtako and Sabit Jiji, and the second region was the Pashtriko region that was created in the summer of 1998, the Special Prosecutor notes that most of the detention centers mentioned in the indictment located in this area.
The indictment reads, “The third district is the Dukagjini district. The commander of this district was Ramush Haradinj. There is a crime scene in Jablanica that appears in this district. The fourth district was the Lap district. The commander of this district was Rustem Mustafa, known as Remi. The fifth district was located In Nerodaym. This region was ruled by Shukri Beja. As for the sixth district, it was in the residences of Rahman Rama, and the Kurdak neighborhood in the residences of Ahmed Essofi.
